Hello everyone, today I want to introduce you to this movie. But there's a catch here, this anime movie is Chinese. Yes, you've read it right. 99%of anime we watch are Japanese. But sometimes in some cases we find the ones that aren't, like this movie. Chinese anime isn't as successful as Japanese but this movie somehow turned out to be one of their success. It took them 12 years to make it. Only because they didn't have sponsors and stuff.

So this movie is about love and sacrifice. And what you're willing to do for your love one(s).

There is a magical world underneath our world and every person has magical powers from kids to an adult. They are guardian of human souls and nature, they're not human nor gods. when kids turn 16 they get a chance to go and see the human world and observe the world that they're controlling for 7 days. Not as themselves but as dolphins, red dolphins. And this time is chun's turn because she turned 16. Saying farewell to her family and going to experience human world. But the thing is they can't have contact with humans, that's the only rule.

On the last day of her stay she gets stock in a fishing net and a human boy who lives by the sea with her sister tries to free her but after she's free she accidentally hit the boy and he drowns into stormy sea.

Now back to her world broken-hearted and has only one thought, to bring that boy back to life.

Chun, goes to soul keeper( he's in charge of human's souls) and exchanges half her life for the boy's life and now the boy is born as a little white dolphin. Chun has to care for him till his big red dolphin and can go back to human world.

Chun's childhood friend Qui finds out about all these stuff and help her to care for the dolphin and they name it "kun" after a gigantic fish in the sea. one day, Qui goes back to soul keeper and exchange his whole life for chun's. But soul keeper warn him that chun still will die after kun is back to human world but he has a way to help him to save chun's life.

As kun gets bigger their world starts to face disasters. No one knows what's the reason. You know, No human is allowed to enter their world. So here is where the tough choices begins. and here's where I'll stop.

Why red and white dolphin?

That was a question I asked myself. So I look to see what these colors mean in Chinese culture.

As we all know, Chinese have red color in lots of there stuff. Those cute lanterns or their clothes and even more than I can't name them.

So, red color symbolizes " good luck, joy".

And I think the reason he's( dolphin) red is because he's born again and that's a great thing, a joy and happiness.

And white symbolizes " purity". And that's what he is. A pure baby dolphin, can anything be purer that that?!

Begonia flower is famous for its beauty as well as its lack of any scent. In the Chinese culture, the begonia flower gives up her own scent in fear that the outsiders may get to learn her sadness by smelling. Therefore, the begonia flower is also well-known as the Heart Broken Flower.

Dreaming of begonia flowers usually symbolizes the sentimental parting of lovers.

And that's how she's as begonia.

She annoyed me sometimes. Because she was so focused on bringing the boy back to life and after that raising the dolphin, she forgot to see what was around her. To see the love others had for her. GRRR :triumph: 😤

This movie has its flaws, like any other movies and series out there. There are parts that left unexplained or not enough. But overall is enjoyable, you somehow forget about all those flaws. Creativity in designing the characters is lovely. pictures, colors and music. Everything was great. So I highly recommend it. And a warning, it might make you cry :cry: 😢 I hope you watch it and enjoy it, like I did. And if you've seen it already tell me what are your thoughts.
